Jon
Markman co-created the
algorithmic investment models utilized for the Markman Portfolios, and has been
tracking the results since 2001 and managing model portfolios on behalf of research
customers since 2002. He was portfolio manager and chief investment strategist
for a statistical arbitrage hedge fund from 2002 to 2005; and is currently
editor of two premium investment research services -- Strategic Advantage and
Trader’s Advantage.
A longtime columnist at MSN Money, co-inventor on two investment management software patents
and the author of the best-selling books "Online Investing"; "Swing Trading" and "The New Day
Trader’s Advantage," Markman has won every major journalism award for his coverage of the equity
and credit markets over the past 20 years, including the prestigious Gerald Loeb Award for Distinguished
Financial Journalism. A graduate of Duke University and the Columbia University, he speaks frequently
on investment topics at conferences nationwide as well as on TV and radio.
